Hi Cheong Hiang and all,

I always support contributions to good cause and this drive to
support our alma mater (母校) is definitely a good cause, so count
me in.

Very nice of you to response to Cheong Hiang's proposal so quickly.
I agree with what you say. Good teachers will attract good
students, and vice versa.

I had received similar assistance during my schooling days. I would
be happy to assist others now. If we are all willing to chip in,
big or small, I am confident that we would have no difficulty to
raise the required amount.

We may not know exactly who are the beneficiaries, but in our
hearts, we know out there some needy students are benefited from
our small contribution.

Hi, Guys,

Class61 members enjoyed excellent education in CHHS during its
peak. They went on to become good citizens and professionals
through various routes. But, we were also saddened to hear that
CHHS has fallen behind in recent years. It is time for us to help
lifting the standard of CHHS to its past glory and beyond. Perhaps,
the special tie past and present between CHHS and Nantah may
becomeCHHS's draw card.

We also know from our personal experience that capable students can
come from all sorts of family including poor ones. Financial
support for capable but poor students from surrounding regions of
Muar would benefit these students and their family directly and
CHHS indirectly. Hopefully higher performance of these capable
students would create a competitive environment at CHHS and with
time lift its standard and reputation that in turn attract students
of higher calibre.

Chong Lee and I would certainly support a fund raising drive for
the purpose.

Has any enquiry been conducted to identify other underlying causes
of falling standard and enrolment? I am sure the experience of past
Headmasters like 徐其禮 and 林鴻圖 is a resource for conducting
such enquiry. What about getting some of us to go back to CHHS to
some conduct workshops or give talks on some topics, or simply
deliver some motivational lectures.

Cheers,

Ann and Chong Lee lim

CH,

I am fully supportive to this movement. In my younger day I was
one of the recipients of this kind. It is important to get a
repectable personnel to "kick-start" our such grand movement for
CHHS.

Regards
